President

Julie Neitzel joined the firm in 2003, and is President of GenSpring Family Offices in Miami, FL. She has been involved with many of the firm’s growth and expansion efforts given her prior role heading the national team of business development professionals. Over the past two decades, Julie has worked extensively with entrepreneurs and wealthy families in areas including the acquisition and financing of closely-held businesses, investment capital management, estate planning, beneficiary mentoring and education, in addition to other aspects of multi-generational planning.

Her prior senior leadership roles were director with Trivest Partners, a middle-market buyout private equity firm; president of PLC Investments, Inc., where she managed and directed the activities of a privately owned investment firm; and various management roles at Chase Manhattan Bank (where she traveled extensively throughout Latin America) and Citicorp.

Julie earned her MBA in Finance from American Graduate School of International Management and her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Bradley University, graduating magna cum laude. She has held many leadership roles at not-for-profit organizations supporting education, the arts and public service areas. She has been a guest lecturer and speaker on topics including women & investing, entrepreneurship, and wealth challenges.

 
Marsha C. Witt
Managing Director

As Managing Director of GenSpring's Miami office, Marsha Witt is responsible for new business development and client service. Since 1984, Marsha has worked closely with high-net-worth individuals in asset management, estate and tax planning and family office services. Prior to joining GenSpring, she was a Principal at Bessemer Trust's Miami office.

Marsha received a BS degree in Economics, summa cum laude, from Barry University and an MBA, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Miami, beta gamma sigma. She is also a graduate of the Florida Trust School, University of Florida.

Marsha is active in community, professional and charitable organizations. She is a member of Board of the Greater Miami Estate Planning Council, a member of the Planned Giving Council of Miami-Dade County and a member of the Professional Advisory Committee to the Dade Community Foundation. Marsha is immediate past Chair of the Professional Advisory Committee to the Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and is active in the Foundation's Women's Department. Marsha devotes here time to the Zoological Society of South Florida and current Chair of the Committee that brings the annual Feast with the Beasts to the community.
