As chairman of the Orlando, Florida GenSpring office, Steve Salley, along with JoEllen Ross, oversees all operations and delivery of wealth management services to clients. Prior to joining GenSpring Family Offices, Steve was a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig PA law firm in Orlando. He is a tax attorney, whose practice centered around representation of individuals, families and closely-held business entities and tax exempt organizations, integrating business and tax planning with family and estate planning, trust administration, and tax controversy representation.
A noted speaker and author, Steve has published several articles, and has lectured about tax and trust issues. He is a member of the Executive Council of the Florida Bar, Tax Section; co-chair of the American Bar Association's Committee on Estate Planning for Business Interests and Owners; and was formerly a Florida Bar liaison to the United States Tax Court.
Steve was listed in Florida Monthly as one of the top lawyers in Florida, and listed as one of the Legal Elite in Florida Trend. He received his BA with honors from Harvard University, his JD with high honors from University of Florida Levin College of Law, and his LL.M, Taxation, from University of Florida Levin College of Law.
JoEllen Ross, CPA

Along with Steve Salley, JoEllen Ross is responsible for services provided by the GenSpring in the Orlando, Tampa and Sarasota, Florida offices. Prior to joining GenSpring Family Offices, JoEllen was a tax consultant with the Greenberg Traurig law firm, and prior to that was a tax partner with Andersen. While at both her emphasis was tax and financial planning for high net worth individuals, as well as being the managing partner of Andersen's Orlando office for many years.
She received her BA with honors in Accounting from Michigan State University, and her current civic passion is being on the board and finance committee of Lighthouse, a not for profit organization dedicated to providing training for the visually handicapped.
Nicole Gokey, CPA
President
As president of GenSpring’s Orlando Local Family Office, Nikki oversees operations and delivery of wealth management services to our families. In addition, Nikki is a valuable resource to helping our families sustain their wealth by providing advisory services in a variety of areas, including: estate and gift tax planning, family governance and education, and income tax planning.
Prior to joining GenSpring, Nikki was a Tax Manager with Grant Thornton LLP and Arthur Andersen both in Orlando. She received her BS in Accounting and her Master of Accounting degree, Taxation, both magna cum laude, from The Florida State University in Tallahassee.
Nikki is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
